Makeup Tools
Achieving a flawless FACE isn't just about the makeup, but how it is applied. There
are requirements of having the right tools when applying makeup to the FACE. Each
brush has it's very own function and having the proper tools can help you achieve
your goals more precisely & effectively.
Makeup tools have had tendencies of being under estimated by many. However,
having the right makeup tools and knowing what to do with each of them is essential.
This course is designed to give students precise knowledge about the appropriate

Skin Care
Taking proper care of the skin by having a daily Skin Care Regimen is important
and can show amazing results even when wearing makeup. In this course, you'll
gain extensive product knowledge while learning what's required when prepping the
skin for makeup application; rather it be for everyday wear, photography, film, or tv.
Beauty Makeup
Learning the essence of Beauty Makeup can truly make one a great artist. Proper blending, contouring,
highlighting, while choosing the right shades & colors are extremely important elements for photography,
bridal, film, tv, & print. This course is designed to teach specific techniques while preparing students for
every aspect of proper makeup application while enhancing every feature of the FACE. Beauty Makeup is
required in many areas while working as a Professional Makeup Artist. As this course is completed,
students progress on to our Creative/Runway Makeup Course.
Product Knowledge
Using the right products and makeup tools can determine the overall outcome & finalization of any
makeup application. This course is designed to offer extensive product knowledge of Skin Care
Products & Cosmetics that are suitable for different looks & skin types when applying makeup for
every occasion. In this course, students gain advanced product knowledge while given the
opportunity to use recommended products hands-on.
Creative Makeup
Learning The Art of Creative Makeup allows students to be more creative by using unique
colors, eye shadows, unique eye lashes, and jewels for the FACE & body. This course is
designed to teach students more advanced techniques while receiving hands-on training to
create avant guarde & high fashion looks for print and runway.
Contouring & Highlighting
Contouring & highlighting is a technique that is used to bring out features of the FACE. This course is
designed to teach different ways of bringing out features by using powders and foundations that are
suitable for different skin tones. This technique is used for Beauty, Fashion, Film, TV, Bridal, and Print.
Eyelash Application
Eyelash Application has been a very popular enhancement for many...many years. However, it is
requested today more than ever by women who enjoy the enhancement it brings. It is important to
know the proper technique when applying False Eye Lashes. This class is designed to teach
application techniques while learning how to choose the appropriate shapes and styles for day
looks, evening looks, fashion, bridal, film, tv, and print. Rather you're applying false eyelashes on
yourself or on others, knowing what styles, lengths, shapes, and sizes are suitable are all key
elements for you and for your client.
Lips
This course is designed to teach unique lip enhancement techniques. Students are also taught
how to choose lip colors and shades that are suitable for day or evening. Knowing what shades
are suitable for different skin tones and lip shapes is essential to creating a look that is sure to
enhance one's look for every occasion.
Eye Brow Grooming
Give brows the respect they deserve. This course is designed to teach The Art of
brow grooming. Having a great brow shape is essential and can be very effective
when creating a look for day or evening. As well, creating & maintaining a great
brow shape is essential for film, tv, print, & day to day life.
Makeup for Print
Makeup for print is used for Beauty Ads, Fashion Ads, Photography, Editorial, and Commercial
Advertisement. Magazines, Billboards, & Catalogues feature this type of makeup. It is essential
to know how to choose the right products, colors, and shades to make sure that one appears
flawless for photography & print. It is also quite essential to highlight features by contouring the
face as needed. This course is specifically designed to teach specific techniques for all areas
of print makeup.
Hair Styling
The Art of Hair Styling is important for every occasion... bridal, film, tv, & fashion. We have an
award winning team of Professional Hair Stylists who maintain extensive knowledge of hair styling
and share their great knowledge & skills with our students. Students are taught how to prep the
hair as product knowledge is given, tips on styling equipment, current trends for magazine ads,
catalogs, film, television, and styles for brides. This course will give our students essential tools
that are needed to achieve success as both a Professional Makeup Artist & Hair Stylist.
Makeup for Black & White
Doing makeup for print requires proper blending while making the right color choices. Rather
natural makeup or more dramatic, makeup application for Black & White Print requires proper
blending while contouring & highlighting specific areas of the FACE. This course is designed
to teach students specific techniques that are necessary when doing makeup for Black &
White Photography.
Men's Grooming
Men's Grooming is essential in today's time. It is a new but very important concept to men. Knowing
the proper techniques of men's skin care & proper grooming for men is essential. Rather it be for
everyday life, film, tv, print, or photography; having great healthy skin is very essential and requires just as much
attention for men of today just as it does for women. This course is designed to teach awareness of men's skin care
& proper grooming techniques.
Ethnic Skin Care & Makeup
Applying makeup to women of color and women of different ethnicities does require extensive product
knowledge while also understanding the difference of the undertones. This course is designed to teach
students techniques that are required when applying makeup to Ethnic Skin tones; rather it is for Asian,
Latina, African, Indian, or African American skin tones. These great skin care & makeup techniques are
used for day to day life; as well as for film, tv, fashion, and print.
Teen Beauty
Teens enjoy the Art of Makeup and often enjoy trying new shades with sparkle and color. Keeping
the skin fresh, vibrant, and youthful while applying suitable shades & tones all matter a great deal.
When applying makeup for teens, knowing the appropriate shades & colors without over doing it
while also allowing their natural beauty to show clearly are all key elements.
This course is designed to teach correct skin care regimens and proper makeup application for
teens of every skin tone and for every occasion; rather Day or Evening. Students learn the latest
makeup trends for proms, school dances, portraits, teen fashion, and homecoming. These
techniques are also used for teens in film, tv, and modeling.
Wardrobe Styling
This course is designed to teach students the importance of Wardrobe Styling for beauty, film,
tv, video, fashion, and commercial advertisement. In these areas, choosing the appropriate
wardrobe & the right accessories are all key elements when choosing makeup styles and
colors. Wardrobe may be athletic wear, casual wear, formal wear, high fashion, or may also
include accessories such as jewelry, belts, hand bags, or scarves. We teach our students how
to choose & coordinate the appropriate colors, styles, and shades of makeup according to the
overall look & feel of the wardrobe & accessories; rather it be for film, tv, runway, beauty, print
and even in everyday life. During this course, you’ll work with LA’s Finest Wardrobe Stylists and Designers.
Makeup for Film, TV, & Video
Makeup for film requires precise skills, knowledge, and techniques. On camera,
undesirable flaws can show clearly. This course is designed to teach students how to
enhance positive attributes for film, tv, and video while downplaying any flaws. It is
essential to provide a clean & flawless appearance of the skin while reducing shine and
providing looks that are suitable for one's character; rather male, female, or child.
Bridal Beauty
Every bride deserves to look her absolute best on their wedding day. It is important when
choosing the right makeup styles, shades, & colors when applying Bridal Makeup. This course is
designed to teach proper makeup application for brides & bridesmaids of every ethnicity & skin
type.
Makeup for Fashion
Makeup for Fashion is required for Editorial Magazines Ads, Billboards, Catalogues, and
Runway Shows. We keep our students informed of the latest trends & makeup styles that
are suitable for Fashion Makeup. This course is designed to teach students how to choose
the appropriate shades & colors while blending to compliment the wardrobe and the model.
Portfolio Development
Developing an effective portfolio is very important. We have a staff of the world's best
photographers. Those who specialize in Still photography for film & tv, beauty & glamour, editorial
& commercial print as well as runway. Our great team assists our students in gaining shots that
are sure to be portfolio worthy. Each student will be given the opportunity to have a dynamic
professional Photo Shoot at the end of each 8 Week Course.

All About FACE Photo Shoot
During our Educational Program, students are trained to operate as Working
Professionals in the world of Cosmetics and Skin Care for Film, TV, Runway, Bridal,
Editorial, and Commercial Print. With these skills, students are sure to achieve
great accomplishments as a Professional Makeup Artist. But having a great
portfolio along with great education is essential. Therefore, we offer Professional
Photo Shoots with some of the industries best Wardrobe Stylists, Hair Stylists, and
Photographers. We have clothing, jewelry, and shoe designers who participate in
our photo shoots as well while adding great style to your photo shoot.
Students will have a Professional Photo Shoot with 4 Looks prior to the completion of our 8 week program. Photo Shoots will include full designer wardrobe as needed. Our shoots here at the All About FACE Makeup Academy are certainly portfolio worthy. Additional Photo Shoots are available at a discounted rate for our students. Prices range from only $200 - $550 per shoot. This is based on the number of looks requested for your photo shoot. Students will receive their images on a CD and can receive 8 1/2 x 12 or 11x14 Color Prints for his/her Professional Portfolio.
